How we Celebrate the Moments that Matter

At Children’s Country Home we love celebrating with friends and family! Any opportunity we get to stop and soak in the sweet joys of life, we eagerly take. Those moments may come with a birthday, a milestone, a holiday or any other good reason to get-together. Of course, this has proven exceedingly difficult in the past few years. Safety, for all, is vital. When it comes to safety, we refuse to compromise. Thankfully, virus numbers continue to trend down, our friends and families continue to protect the children, and here at CCH we remain unwavering in our efforts to keep the kids safe. With that reassurance, we are so excited to finally bring back some of our in-person events. We strive to provide the kids with the most home-like setting possible. In this home everyone is important, valued and celebrated.

Birthday Princess: Zalah Turned 6!

Zalah has celebrated 3 fabulous birthdays with us here at Children’s Country Home. Zalah is bright and full of smiles. She is a princess after all! Princess Zalah, of course, stole the show in a stunning new princess dress from her mom that perfectly fit the occasion.

To celebrate this year, Zalah and her friends had artistic masterpieces painted on their faces. Zalah’s face art featured purple flowers and, of course, sparkles! Balloons were twisted and tied into all kinds of masterful creations, and we even spent time with yet another beautiful princess. Thank you to all who attended and helped make this celebration possible. Shout out to Zalah’s mom and Jill, our Program Services Director, for planning and facilitating. Also, a special thank you to Eric’s Fund donors for refreshments and nonstop bubbles and to Amy’s Artistic Expressions for the delightful entertainment.

Please consider donating to Eric’s Fund. Eric’s Fund is a fund established in memory of Eric Dederer by his grandparents Gary and Pat. Eric’s Fund provides resources for out of the ordinary expenses for our children such as birthday parties like these. These moments matter!

Joy Overflows Here

Now more than ever before, we are so aware of how important it is to pause and take time to experience joy in life. Here at Children’s Country Home, we are intentional about ensuring opportunities for family, friends and staff to do just that. Building and being a community of compassion requires taking opportunities to replenish. We hope you join us next time! Come refill your cups to ensure that joy continues to overflow here at Children’s Country Home and in our community.

Friends and supporters, please join us at our next event! Raise a Glass for Kids – A Wine Tasting for Children’s Country Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023, 6:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. at Covington Cellars
