A Note from the EBA

Taste of the Town

Dear EBA Members and Friends,

Recently the EBA Advisory Council and I met and we discussed attendance numbers for our upcoming Eastside Taste of the Town, scheduled to take place on May 16th 2015. We made an important decision that we think will improve attendance for this event.

Some of the feedback we’ve been receiving is that the price of tickets is cost-prohibitive for many of our members.  We have decided to lower the cost of the tickets to $48.00 ($20.00 off) to help lower that barrier to entry and increase participation. We have moved the date to September 26th 2015 to give us more time to promote this event at the lower ticket price.  Those who have already purchased tickets can ask for a full refund if this date does not work for you.  If you can attend on this new date, we are happy to refund you the difference of $20 per ticket (or you can ask us to donate it to Children’s Country Home on your behalf).

We want to continue raising funds for Children Country Home for Medically Fragile Children. The Taste is a great event we have hosted for 8 years now, with all proceeds going to the charity. Here’s what we need from our members to make this event a huge success:

  1. Volunteers to help with marketing & advertising, procuring or donating auction items, volunteers at the event
  2. Buy your tickets now and plan to join us for this gala event!
  3. Connect us with your friends who enjoy auctions, great music, fantastic food, local wines, micro brews and much more.  Please invite others and sell tickets!

I have always said that it is so important for each of us who represent businesses in our community to help out wherever possible. I know we are all so busy, so we limit this to one charity event per year, with 100% of the auction monies going directly to Children’s Country Home.  Thank you in advance for your support (monetary or volunteer help).

I appreciate you,
